Hyderabad: In a humanitarian act, the Balapur police swiftly reached out to a woman who was upset over the loss of her husband and her inability to send her children to school due to financial constraints.
On receiving the information, the patrol mobile car staff, Narender Kumar, a Head Constable, and Venkatesh, a Home Guard of Balapur police station, went to the 35-year-old woman’s house in the village and counselled her.
Further, after learning that her children, a son and a daughter, were not being sent to school due to financial problems, the police officers took the initiative and got the boy admitted to grade six at the Zilla Parishad High School and the girl to grade five at the Government Primary School in Balapur.
While senior officials appreciated the officers, the family that received the help and the villagers thanked them.
