Hyderabad: Barricades for queue lines continue to obstruct Khairatabad road users
Commuters in Hyderabad face traffic congestion near Khairatabad Metro Station as police barricades set up for Ganesh idol immersion remain uncleared even two days after the festivities. Road users complain of delays and demand immediate removal of obstructions.

Hyderabad: Two days after the immersion of Khairatabad Ganesh idol, the iron barricading set up to streamline the queues for devotees remain on the busy road stretch and cause obstructions for road users.
Police are yet remove these barricades resulting in traffic congestion and inconvenience for scores of commuters.
The barricades erected to manage queue lines by the police at Khairatabad Metro Station have not been removed. A separate queue line formed between Khairatabad Metro Station, ICICI Bank, and up to the railway level crossing.
Two days before the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, the police have installed barricades at Khairatabad junction, one of the busiest junctions in the city, to regulate queue lines and manage heavy crowds.
Many commuters expressed frustration as the barricades continued to block a major part of the main road, leading to traffic congestion and delays during peak hours between 8 am and 11 am.
Road users complain about police department’s delayed action in this regard and said despite the end of the event for which the barricades were installed, authorities were yet to clear them.
