Hyderabad: Body of unidentified man found near Balapur lake

The body of an unidentified man with his throat slit and stab wounds was found near Balapur lake in Chandrayangutta. Police suspect murder and are examining CCTV footage and investigating.

Hyderabad: The body of an unidentified man was found in a secluded place near the Balapur lake in Chandrayangutta on Friday morning.

It is suspected that the victim was murdered by assailants by slitting his throat with a knife and stabbing his body, police said.

Local residents, who noticed the body of the victim—suspected to be aged in his mid-thirties—lying amidst trees, alerted the police.

On receiving information, the police reached the spot and examined it. Police said clues have been collected from the location, and surveillance camera footage is being examined.

ACP Chandrayangutta, A Sudhakar, visited the spot and supervised the investigation process.

Cops suspect the victim may have been a local resident and that his killers were possibly known to him.

Efforts are on to identify the victim and also the killers.

They suspect the victim was killed elsewhere and the body was disposed of at the location. All surrounding police stations have been alerted.

The Chandrayangutta police are investigating.
