Hyderabad: Car evading cops hits home guard at LB Nagar

“The car driver Karan Kumar rammed into the home guard Ramesh in an attempt to escape the traffic police,” said Ashok Reddy, SHO (LB Nagar).

Hyderabad: A home guard was injured after a Volkswagen Polo car hit him when he tried to stop the car at LB Nagar on Tuesday evening.

According to the police, Ramesh is a home guard working with the LB Nagar traffic police station. On Tuesday, when Ramesh and constable Nagabhushanam were near the LB Nagar traffic police station, they tried to stop the car that escaped checking at Nagole check post.

“The car driver Karan Kumar rammed into the home guard Ramesh in an attempt to escape the traffic police,” said Ashok Reddy, SHO (LB Nagar).

The police however arrested the driver and seized the vehicle. A case was registered against him on the basis of a complaint lodged by Nagabhushanam. The injured home guard was shifted to a private hospital where he is undergoing treatment.

Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat visited the hospital and spoke to the injured home guard.
