Hyderabad: City flyovers except PVNR Expressway to be closed in view of New Year celebrations on Tuesday
Passengers heading to the RGI Airport, Shamshabad will be allowed on the PVNR Expressway only after they produce valid flight tickets.

Hyderabad: All flyovers in the city, except for the PVNR Expressway, Begumpet and Tolichowki under Hyderabad Police Commissionerate will be closed for traffic in view of the New Year celebrations from 10pm on December 31 to 2 am on January 1, 2025.
The Outer Ring Road (ORR) will also be closed for light motor vehicles and passenger vehicles, except for vehicles bound towards RGIA, from 10pm on December 31 to 5am on January 1. Passengers travelling towards RGIA Hyderabad will be allowed on producing air tickets while medium and heavy goods vehicles will be allowed and
Similarly, certain traffic restrictions will be implemented on vehicles along Tank Bund-Necklace Road stretch. The Nagole flyover, Kamineni flyover, Multi-level flyovers at LB Nagar, Bairamalguda and underpasses will be closed for light motor vehicles, bikes and passenger vehicles between 10 pm on December 31 to 5am on January 1.
Hyderabad Police officials said the traffic police personnel will be undertaking extensive checks to curb drunken driving and other traffic violations. They warned that violators will be booked and dealt strictly.
Traffic congestion points:
*V.V. Statue (Khairatabad) towards Necklace Road and NTR Marg via Khairatabad flyover.
*BRK Bhavan towards NTR Marg – Telugu Thalli junction – Iqbal Minar, Lakadi-ka-pul and Ayodhya junctions.
*Liberty junction towards Upper Tank Bund – Iqbal Minar – Ravindra Bharathi – Khairatabad market – Necklace Rotary – Khairatabad (Bada Ganesh) – Sensation Theatre – Rajdoot lane – Mint Compound lane.
*Nallagutta railway bridge – Sanjeevaiah Park and PVNR Marg –Ranigunj – Minister Road – Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda ‘X’ road – Lower Tank Bund – Kattamaisamma temple – Ashok Nagar – RTC ‘X’ road.
*Heavy vehicles will not be allowed into city limits during this time.
