Hyderabad destination of choice for multiple sectors: US Consul General
Joel Reifman, Consul General, US Consulate General, Hyderabad said Telangana too has played a very significant role in the Indian healthcare sector by giving the nation the first indigenously developed vaccine by Bharat Biotech.
Hyderabad: The State capital has emerged as the destination of choice for life sciences, pharma sectors, science and technology, IT and business-friendly policies, thanks to the commendable job by the State Government, Joel Reifman, Consul General, US Consulate General, Hyderabad said.
Speaking at the 245th US Independence Day celebrations organized by the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) here on Tuesday, Riefman said Telangana too has played a very significant role in the Indian healthcare sector by giving the nation the first indigenously developed vaccine by Bharat Biotech, which again was done in collaboration with American universities and hospitals.
“Our people to people ties in both nations are very strong. Nearly 4 million Indian Americans call America their home. NASA’s space mission Commander Raja Chari too has Telangana roots,” the Consul General recalled.
IACC, the principal bilateral chamber committed to promotion of industrial, economic, business and commercial activities between the US and India, celebrated Independence Day virtually here on Tuesday, a couple of days in advance since the US Independence Day is actually on July 4.
Vijay Chauthaiwale, in-Charge, Foreign Affairs Department, Bharatiya Janata Party, Purnachandra Rao Surapaneni, national president, IACC and Vijaya Sai Meka, chairman, IACC (AP & TS) also spoke.
