Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC), in collaboration with Hyderabad Police, organised the Traffic and Road Safety Summit 2025 at Jal Vihar, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, law enforcement, and civil society to discuss urban mobility and road safety.
The summit was inaugurated by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, who stressed that road safety was about saving lives, not just easing congestion. He said safe mobility reflects a city’s progress and urged citizens to move ‘beyond awareness to action’ by following traffic rules.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand noted that with over 92 lakh vehicles and 1,500 new additions daily, traffic is Hyderabad’s biggest challenge and its most visible reflection.
The two-day summit focused on smart mobility, sustainable infrastructure, AI-driven enforcement, and citizen-led safety campaigns, with stakeholders pledging collective action for a safer and more livable Hyderabad.
