Hyderabad: The twelfth edition of Hyderabad Literary Festival (HLF) is hosting several unique sessions for the audience.
As part of the pre-event programme, the founder of Our Sacred Space, Nayantara Nanda Kumar, hosted a session with four dynamic women NGO founders, whose work serves the nation’s most vulnerable citizens.
The session, Voices of Independence, which was held on January 15, saw four social workers — Padma Koppula, who has been working with rural farmers for the last 20 years, Mamatha Achanta, Founder of Network of International Legal Activists, Himani Gupta, co-founder, Kriti Social Initiatives and activist Arpana Krishnan — speaking about their experiences of working with the marginalized communities in the country.
From drought, personal tragedy and community struggle to innovative ideas and solutions, the women talked about various things during the session which is also available on HLF’s YouTube channel for the viewers to watch later.
