Hyderabad: Man arrested for selling adulterated mouth fresheners at Chudi Bazar

Hyderabad: Even the mouth fresheners are adulterated these days. The Task Force (South-West) team along with the Food Safety officials raided a unit where adulterated mouth fresheners were manufactured and arrested one person at Chudi Bazaar on Friday. Adulterated mouth fresheners worth Rs 1.2 lakh were seized.

Police said the arrested person Kamal Kishore Ojha, a manufacturer and supplier made mouth fresheners using harmful synthetic colours and unauthorised sweeters to enhance appearance and aroma.

This was done without a valid licence, violating FSSAI guidelines. The adulterated products were supplied to stores and hotels in the twin cities, putting lives at risk for personal profit, officials said.
