Hyderabad: Man feared dead after jumping into Musi river at Chaderghat

A man jumped into the Musi river at Chaderghat on Monday and is feared dead. Police are investigating and attempting to retrieve the body. In a separate incident, an engineering student fell into the river but was rescued and hospitalised

Hyderabad: A man is feared dead after he jumped into the Musi river at Chaderghat on Monday.

According to police, the man, a resident of Azampura, went to the Chaderghat Bridge and jumped into the river. Strong currents carried him away. Traffic police and local residents attempted to rescue him but were unsuccessful. The Kacheguda police have registered a case and initiated an investigation, with efforts underway to retrieve the body.


In a separate incident, an engineering student fell into the Musi river from a railway bridge. He was rescued by alert individuals and taken to Osmania General Hospital for treatment.
