Hyderabad: Miss Asia Beauty Akanksha Singh took up a unique initiative of spreading awareness on the importance of talking about mental health, at KBR Park on Tuesday.
Akanksha Singh spent over two hours at the park, standing behind a banner encouraging people to understand and talk about depression. To ensure the campaign was interactive, she encouraged walkers and health enthusiasts to ‘Fist Bump’ with her if they take care of their mental health and that of their relatives.
Later, she also interacted with many walkers asking questions about the myths and concerns about their mental health. “Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel and act. Further, it helps to determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy alternatives, and is very important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood,” she said.
