Hyderabad: MLA’s ex-aide held for duping 84 people over 2BHK flat promise
Jeedimetla police arrested Bodimi Shetty Haribabu, former assistant to Quthbullapur MLA K P Vivekanand, for allegedly cheating 84 people by promising them double bedroom flats. Haribabu collected Rs 1 lakh from each person and used the money to build a house.

Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police arrested a man who worked in the office of Quthbullapur MLA K P Vivekanand for allegedly duping people on the pretext of arranging a double-bedroom flat for them.
The man, Bodimi Shetty Haribabu, who worked as an assistant to Quthbullapur MLA, had allegedly collected Rs 1 lakh each from people, promising them of providing double-bedroom flats.
According to the police, Hari Babu collected the amount from 84 people and, with the money, had allegedly constructed a house at Reddy Nagar colony, Quthbullapur.
On a complaint, the police registered a case against Haribabu and arrested him.
