Hyderabad: MLC’s son among three held in Puranapul drug case
Police in Hyderabad’s Puranapul area arrested the son of an MLC and two others during a drug bust, seizing hash oil and ganja, while four suspects managed to escape.

Hyderabad: The son of a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) was reportedly caught along with two others in a drug case during a special operation conducted by the Mangalhat police in the Puranapul area of Hyderabad.
Four other suspects allegedly escaped from the spot and are being traced.
According to the police, a group of seven persons had assembled in Puranapul to purchase ganja and hash oil. Acting on the tip-off, Mangalhat police conducted a raid.
During the operation, the police allegedly apprehended Bharat Raj Reddy, the son of an MLC, along with Abhishek and Bottu Yunit, while the remaining four suspects fled the scene.
Police reportedly seized 24 grams of hash oil packed in sachets and 22 grams of ganja from the possession of the detained persons. The contraband was seized and a case was registered under the relevant provisions of the law.
The police said the investigation is in progress and special teams have been formed to trace and arrest the four absconding suspects.
