Hyderabad: One person was injured and five vehicles were damaged when a car went berserk at Niloufer Hospital road in Red Hills on Sunday.

According to the police, the driver of the car identified as Ashwin (22), a resident of Lal Darwaza in the old city, had come to Niloufer Hotel to have tea along with a few friends. While parking the car, instead of using the brakes, the driver pressed on to the accelerator of the car.

“The car rammed into five vehicles parked there and also injured a watchman who was standing a little away resulting in minor injuries to him,” said Nampally police.

A case is booked against him and an investigation going on. The vehicle was seized and the driver was taken into custody.
