Hyderabad police recovers 67 stolen and lost mobile phones, return them to owners

Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills Police recovered 67 lost or stolen mobile phones using the CEIR portal and returned them to their owners. Citizens are urged to report lost devices through CEIR to prevent misuse and ensure faster recovery.

Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills Police recovered a total of 67 mobile phones belonging to citizens, which were either lost or stolen. ACP Venkat Reddy, Banjara Hills handed over the phones to their owners on Saturday.

Various wings of Hyderabad Police in collaborative efforts recovered the phones using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.

The police urged citizens to report lost mobile phones either at their nearest police station or directly through the CEIR portal, which was accessible online.

Using the CEIR portal helps prevent the misuse of stolen phones and facilitates their swift recovery, the ACP said.
