The Cyberabad Police recovered 827 stolen or lost mobile phones worth nearly Rs 2 crore using the CEIR portal. The devices were returned to their owners during a special event. Citizens were urged to report lost phones through CEIR for faster recovery.
The Balanagar Division police recovered 69 lost or stolen mobile phones worth ₹15.2 lakh in a month using the CEIR portal. The devices were returned to their owners, who thanked police for the swift action and recovery.
The Balapur police recovered 24 mobile phones worth Rs 3.5 lakh that were recently lost or stolen. The recovery was made using the CEIR portal, and the phones were returned to their owners. Citizens were urged to report missing devices promptly
The Khammam Commissionerate IT Cell recovered 13 lost mobile phones worth Rs 4 lakh using the CEIR portal. So far, over 2,200 mobiles have been retrieved from more than 4,400 reported cases, officials confirmed. Appreciation was extended to the IT team.
Officials said special teams have been formed all over the Cyberabad Police jurisdiction for tracing lost or stolen mobile phones of citizens, with the help of C.E.I.R.
GRP officials requested passengers to be careful about their belongings and if any mobile phone theft occurs in railway stations then block their mobile phones with IMEI numbers in CEIR portal immediately by logging at www.ceir.gov.in
Of these phones, 135 were recovered by Madhapur CCS, 140 by Balanagar CCS, 101 by Medchal CCS, 133 by Rajendranagar CCS, 72 by Shamshabad CCS, 105 by Medchal Zone, and 101 by the IT Cell.
