Hyderabad: Hyderabad racer Rahil Shetty from Gusto Racing India team finished third in the overall rider championship of Pro stock up to 301-400cc category in the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship in Chennai.
He qualified in second position in the category battling against the mighty Chennai giants Rajini Krishnan (RACR),Deepak Ravikumar, KY Ahmed (TVS Racing) and the surprising star from Bengaluru Anish Damodara Shetty (Race Concepts).

Rahil Shetty
Rahil Shetty was involved in a furious fight in Race 1 with the likes of KY Ahmed (TVS Racing) and Anish Damodar Shetty (Race concepts), where he exhibited his tremendous race craft and fought till the end of the race.

Rahil managed to finish Race 1 in third position behind Anish and KY Ahmed in an enthralling mix up. He bought his A game in Race 2 where he started from third position and quickly took control of the race. Though it was not an easy win fighting against multiple time national champion Rajini Krishnan and the stealthy TVS Racing riders KY Ahmed and Deepak Ravikumar of Chennai, Rahil rode very sensibly conserving his tyres and made some clinically precise but brutally efficient moves.
A Last minute tug between Anish Shetty and Rahil Shetty has imposed a 5 seconds penalty on the former for irresponsible riding and enabled Rahil to finish the final race of 2021 season in first position followed by Anish Shetty and Rajini Krishnan. This win secured third position to Rahil in the overall rider championship.

Deepika Reddy
Hyderabad’s Baddam Deepika Reddy from Gusto Racing India qualified in first position for the Race, had a beautiful start and quickly built her lead from the rest of the pack with consistent lap timings and finished the Race in 1st position. This is her 2nd win in the championship and this pushes her to 2nd position in the overall rider championship.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad’s Samrul Zubair of Race’ist Motorcycle club secured his maiden podium in the stock up to 165cc novice category comprising 44 riders.
