Hyderabad records second-lowest SIR enumeration form digitisation in Telangana
Hyderabad has recorded only 10.91% digitisation of enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision, making it the second-lowest performing district in Telangana. Officials attribute the slow progress to poor voter response, address-related issues, incorrect information and network connectivity problems.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad district, comprising 15 assembly constituencies, has so far recorded 10.91% digitisation of enumeration forms and stands as the second-lowest district in Telangana.
According to a status report on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral process released by the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, on Saturday, Medchal-Malkajgiri district was at the lowest among districts with 6.07% in the digitisation of enumeration forms.
Since the beginning of SIR on June 25 in Hyderabad district, BLOs have distributed 47,30,983 enumeration forms to 47,36,669 voters, and as of July 11, only 4,82,566 enumeration forms have been filled and returned to the BLOs.
The BLOs of Jubilee Hills assembly constituency told ‘Telangana Today’ that electors were not returning the enumeration forms even when BLOs visited them. Electors cited doubts, including absence of a voter’s name in the previous SIR done in 2002 and a lack of awareness about how to fill out the forms. Some electors who filled the forms have provided incorrect information.
BLOs of the Khairatabad assembly constituency said delays occurred in the distribution of enumeration forms as they could not reach some electors due to confusion in door numbers and houses found locked. In some instances, electors were found to have shifted out of the address. Network issues while digitising the enumeration forms were also cited as one of the reasons for the poor performance reflected in the low percentage.
As of July 11, Yadadri Bhongiri district was at the top with 69.01% of the digitisation of enumeration forms, according to the CEO’s status report.
Meanwhile, the CEO’s status report on distribution of enumeration forms said 17 districts — Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Rajanna Sircilla, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Hanumakonda, Bhadradri, Narayanpet, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Suryapet, and Siddipet — completed 100% distribution of enumeration forms in their respective jurisdictions.
