Hyderabad: Security guard drowns in Hussain Sagar Lake
On Sunday morning, the body of Yadagiri was found floating in the water. The police suspect he might have slipped and fell into the lake
Hyderabad: A security guard got allegedly drowned in the Hussain Sagar Lake on Friday night.
According to the police, the victim Suraram Yadagiri, worked as security guard with a private agency and is deployed at the Lumbini Park point. On Friday night, he reported for duty at 9 pm and was scheduled to work until 6 am. However around 12.30 am, he went into a boat to take rest and the next morning he was found missing.
On not finding him, his colleagues tried to reach him over phone but the phone was switched off. On a complaint the Saifabad police had registered a case on Saturday and started efforts to trace him.
On Sunday morning, the body of Yadagiri was found floating in the water. The body was retrieved and sent for post-mortem examination. The police are investigating. The police suspect Yadagiri might have slipped and fell into the lake.
