Hyderabad: Hyderabad swimmer Aditi Nadella impressed with two gold medal wins in the 50m butterfly and backstroke events at the CM Cup Swimming Championship, held at GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Aditi, a Class X student at CGR International School, topped the 50m butterfly event with a time of 00: 32.18, finishing ahead of Likitha Goud from Medchal-Malkajgiri (00:32.18) and Gagana Sri Rayidi from Ranga Reddy (00:35.77 ), who took second and third places, respectively. In the 50m backstroke event, Aditi clinched another gold with a time of 00: 34.18. Siva Kumari Nandigam from Medchal-Malkajgiri (00:36.20) and Boppana Dhatri from Ranga Reddy (00:39.06) took second and third positions, respectively.
Ranga Reddy’s Sai Akshara Avadootha, a Class XI student at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Atmakuri Rama Rao School, also impressed with two medal wins, securing a gold in the 100m backstroke and a silver in the 200m backstroke events. Both Aditi and Akshara train under Ayush Yadav at Gachibowli Stadium.
