Hyderabad: The Hayathnagar police caught five transgender persons on charges of creating public nuisance at various public spots across the limits on Tuesday night.

Following instructions from superior officers, officials from the local police station formed special teams and raided several hotspots.

These teams conducted surprise raids within the limits and caught transgender persons who allegedly were exposing their bodies and making obscene gestures in public and creating nuisance. They were produced before the tahasildar for being bound over.

The police warned people harassing pedestrians, motorists by creating public nuisance and extorting.
