Hyderabad: The Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) has served notices to Rushcare Hospitals, LB Nagar, for alleged association with unqualified individuals (quacks) who were practicing allopathy
In the notice, the Medical Council charged the hospital of association with Sushritha Grameena Vaidyla Sangam, Nalgonda, and inviting public to participate in a meet on December 25.
“Giving advertisement by colluding with the unqualified persons and inviting the public to participate in a meeting is an offense and against the rule of TGMP Act and NMC Act,” the notice said and sought an explanation. If the hospital fails to submit its explanation, the matter would be placed before the Ethics Committee for necessary action as per law.
The Council said it is illegal for private hospitals to engage unqualified persons (quacks) for the purpose of advertisement and referral of patients on commission basis.
Smaller nursing homes and private clinics in Hyderabad tend to recruit agents and quacks in districts, so that patients get referred to their facilities in Hyderabad, which is illegal.
