Telangana Medical Council catches 18 quacks in one-day raid
The Telangana State Medical Council caught 18 quacks in Kamareddy and Nizamabad during inspections at small clinics and nursing homes. They were found practising without qualifications and giving antibiotics, steroids and injections. FIRs will be filed under NMC and TSMPR Acts

Hyderabad: A total of 18 unqualified individuals (quacks) practising allopathy and treating patients were caught in a single day by the Telangana State Medical Council (TGMC) during inspections at small nursing homes, single-room clinics and first-aid centres in Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts.
The quacks identified include Polam Rajender and Gundla Shankar from Mosra village, K Srinivas Rao from Chandur village, Mahender Goud, Bheem Rao and Ahmed from Varni, S Ravinder, Rama Rao and Mogulaiah from Nasrullabad village, Mahesh Yadav and Balakrishna from Birkur village, Annam Venkatesh, Sudhakar, Shivaji, Jadhav Balaji and V Satyanarayana from Jukkal, and Kongari Raghu and Besta Pandari from Pitlam village.
They were providing medical services without qualifications and indiscriminately administering antibiotics, steroids and pain-relieving injections, a press release said. Executive Committee member of TGMC, Dr Sunny Davis, and co-opted member Dr Shirish Kumar conducted the inspections.
