Hyderabad witnesses scorching afternoons as temperatures continue to rise

Hyderabad: For the last three days, the city has been experiencing scorching afternoons with the temperature continuing to rise on Tuesday as well, with the average maximum temperature being recorded at 35 degree Celsius. The highest maximum temperature of 35.3 degree Celsius was recorded at Musheerabad.
According to the forecast by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the daytime temperature would continue to remain between 33 degree Celsius to 36 degree Celsius, whereas the minimum temperature would range from 19 degree Celsius to 21 degree Celsius.
Predicting that the city would witness dry weather for the next three to four days, India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad, said the night temperatures might drop by one to two degrees.
Meanwhile the mercury is gradually inching closer to 40 degree Celsius in some parts of Telangana. On Tuesday, Wanaparthy recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.2 degree Celsius, followed by Narayanpet, where the mercury was at 39 degree Celsius. As per the forecast by IMD-H, a few parts of Suryapet and Mahabubabad are likely to witness very light showers on Wednesday.
