Hyderabad: A local court in LB Nagar on Tuesday sentenced a woman to three years of rigorous imprisonment for stealing jewellery from two shops by diverting attention. The court also imposed a fine on her.
The convicted person was identified as B Rekha (30), a resident of Moosapet in Kukatpally, who entered shops in Saroornagar and Punjagutta posing as a customer and diverted the attention of the staff before decamping with ornaments in 2018.
The Chaitanyapuri police booked a case and subsequently arrested her.
