Hyderabad: Youth dies while doing bike stunts for reels

Ironically, just minutes before the accident, the duo had shared a video of their stunts on bike with their friends and sought their comments whether the video was okay for Instagram reels upload.

Hyderabad: The craze to perform stunts and upload them on social media platforms for likes and views has claimed one more life. This time, a youngster in Hyderabad has died while his friend sustained serious injuries when their bike stunt went horribly wrong when they lost control and crashed at Hayathnagar on Sunday.

Ironically, just minutes before the accident, the duo had shared a video of their stunts on bike with their friends and sought their comments whether the video was okay for Instagram reels upload.

According to the police, M Shiva (20), a resident of L B Nagar and native of Warangal along with his friend Sampath, went to Hayathnagar on a motorcycle.

“While riding the bike Sampath, started doing stunts and wheeling. Shiva, who was riding pillion slipped and fell on the road. He sustained injuries and died while undergoing treatment at a hospital,” Hayathnagar sub inspector, B Nehru Nagole, said.

The police registered a case and are investigating.
