Hyderabad: Youth held for harassing woman

Police reported that M Ramakrishna (21), a BTech student from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, had been stalking the complainant by using her morphed photos on social media. He allegedly threatened to share the images with her friends and family if she continued to avoid him.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Cybercrime team nabbed a youth from Andhra Pradesh on charges of stalking and harassing a woman.

Police said M Ramakrishna (21), a BTech student from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, has been stalking the complainant using her morphed photos on social media. He threatened to share the images with her friends and family if she avoided him.

Despite her attempts to ignore the messages, the harassment persisted. Investigation revealed that Ramakrishna morphed the photos by leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools to create inappropriate content for stalking.

He was traced through his social media account details and arrested from Guntur and seized a mobile phone containing numerous morphed images of other victims.
