Karimnagar: Former Minister and Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender on Tuesday said he had played a vital role in the Statehood movement.
“The movement in Karimnagar was run by TRS activists from Kamalapur and Huzurabad areas. Party workers played a vital role in 2005 elections as well as 2006 Karimnagar by-polls when Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao contested,” he told media persons here.
Besides participating in various programmes, he said he also worked in elections held in Gajwel and Kamalapur constituencies.
On the report given by revenue officials in connection with the alleged land grab by him, he said the officials prepared the report without following government norms and minimum ethics.
“Officials conducted raids on my properties, searched bank accounts and submitted the report without issuing a single notice to me,” he said.
