Hyderabad: The Smart City Living lab at IIIT-H organised a multi-stakeholder round table discussion on healthy smart cities on Thursday. Aiming to bring in different perspectives on how cities and technology players are responding to the pandemic, the discussion was conducted with various stakeholders from government, frontline workers, academia and startup domains.

A position paper was also made and published on the discussion, solutions and next steps. The key focus of the discussion was to understand the post-pandemic scenario and making workplaces, public spaces, schools, etc. safe. Some of the deliberations included real-time updates with sensor network deployment, live-monitoring and screening, standard operating procedures guidelines and more.


AK Garg, Senior Director, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Prof Ramesh Loganathan, Head, Research and Innovation Outreach at IIIT-H, and others participated.
