IIT Hyderabad to host 58th inter-IIT sports meet

IIT Hyderabad will host the 58th Inter-IIT Sports Meet 2025 at its Kandi campus in Sangareddy from December 14. Over 4,500 students, faculty and staff from 23 IITs will participate in multiple sporting events.

Sangareddy: The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) will host the 58th inter-IIT sports meet 2025 at its campus in Kandi, Sangareddy district. The annual sports meet will kick start on December 14 at 3 pm.

The event will see sportspersons, including students and faculty members, from 23 IITs taking part. More than 2,500 students will compete for honours in various sports disciplines from December 14 to 21 at the Sports and Cultural Complex. Nearly 2,000 staff members will also vie for honours in different sports disciplines from December 24 to 29.

The inaugural and closing ceremonies of the sports meet will feature cultural performances by students and SPIC MACAY. Badminton player Saina Nehwal will inaugurate the meet.
