Hyderabad: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Telangana State condemned the recent protests by self-proclaimed Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and Private Medical Practitioners (PMPs) demanding legal recognition despite lacking proper medical qualifications.

A statement issued by the association said quacks have no scientific knowledge of treating diseases and often administer high doses of antibiotics, painkillers, and steroids, destroying the eco-system of health in Telangana.
