Hyderabad: Hyderabad experienced a cloudy and breezy Sunday with light showers in isolated areas towards the afternoon. The temperatures in the city dropped by at least three degrees and the maximum temperature recorded on Sunday was 31 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has taken down the heavy rainfall warning they had posted a few days back. Dr K Nagaratna, Director of IMD-Hyderabad said that orange warning has been taken down, and a yellow warning across the State has been posted.
“There will be moderate rain in Hyderabad for a couple of days due to the east-west trough from the cyclonic circulation across south Chhattisgarh, north Telangana, north interior Karnataka and south Konkan. However, after a couple of days, the rains are likely to come down too,” she said.
The IMD officials have posted a five-day thunderstorm warning across various districts of the State. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at a few places in the districts including, Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Mulugu, Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban) and Janagaon.
