IMD Hyderabad issues thunderstorm warning for next five days in Telangana

Hyderabad: Amidst searing temperatures in the State, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad on Wednesday issued a thunderstorm warning accompanied by gusty winds over the next five days. However, an orange heat wave alert was also issued for 17 districts which are expected to experience temperatures between 41 degree Celsius and 44 degree Celsius.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, intense heat wave like conditions prevailed in most parts of Telangana. A day temperature of 45.2 degree Celsius was recorded at Adilabad and several parts of Jagtial, Nizamabad, Nirmal, Karimnagar and Peddapalli, recorded temperatures between 44 degree Celsius and 44.9 degree Celsius.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature hovered between 41 degree Celsius and 41.9 degree Celsius. However, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts will get some reprieve due to thunderstorms and windy conditions.
The five-day thunderstorms warning has been issued for Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvangiri, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajgiri Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.
The districts that will, however continue to witness intense heat wave like conditions include Adilabad, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jagityal, Jangoan, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Khammam, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Medak, Mulugu, Nalgonda, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla and Suryapet.
