In two separate incidents, eight apprehended for gambling in Adilabad, Mancherial
Eight persons were arrested in two separate gambling cases in Adilabad and Mancherial districts. Police seized cash, mobile phones and vehicles, while several other accused remain absconding. Further investigation is underway

Adilabad/Mancherial: In two separate incidents, eight persons were arrested on charges of gambling in Adilabad and Mancherial districts on Monday.
In the first instance, five persons were arrested for allegedly indulging in banned gambling on the outskirts of Chanda (T) village in Adilabad Rural mandal. Police seized five mobile phones, three motorbikes and cash of Rs 40,860 from them.
Police said that Giriki Mahender, Soma Prashanth, Are Muthanna, Are Akash and Myuka Sai Kumar were apprehended while committing the offence, when a team led by CCS Inspector Chandrashekhar and Adilabad Rural SI V Vishnuvardhan conducted a raid at a secluded place following a tip-off. They were handed over to Adilabad Rural police for further action.
In the meantime, three persons, namely Janagam Mallesh, Manumalla Anil and Gogu Nagaaju, were taken into custody on charges of involvement in prohibited gambling on the outskirts of Rampur village in Kotapalli mandal of Mancherial district. Four other accused persons were absconding. Police seized four mobile phones and three two-wheelers.
The accused who are still at large include Gogu Rajender, Gogu Sattenna, Kunthi Posham and Manumalla Vinod, all from the village.
