Ten arrested for gambling in Mancherial

Police arrested ten persons for allegedly gambling at Mannegudem village in Mancherial late on Sunday night. Cash worth Rs 83,010, eight mobile phones and 52 cards were seized. Three other accused persons, including the alleged organiser, remain absconding

Mancherial: Ten persons were arrested on charges of gambling at Mannegudem village late on Sunday night. Police seized cash of Rs 83,010, eight mobile phones and 52 cards from them. Three more accused persons were absconding.

Police said that Md Fakruddin, Kota Shankar, Ushan Lachanna, Dongre Mahesh, Morla Nagesh, Badavath Surya, Dharbala Shankar, Morla Ramesh, Ilaveni Nagaraju and Chintha Venkatesh were detained during a raid. Rallapet Srikanth, the alleged organiser, Srinivas and Raj Kumar, all from Bellampalli, were still at large. The ten accused persons were handed over to Nennal police for further action.
