Hyderabad: Girls have outperformed boys in the results of the intermediate first year examinations that were released by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) here on Thursday. The exams were conducted from October 25 to November 3.
While 2,26,616 girls including 2,04,537 in general and 22,079 in vocational streams have appeared for the exams, the pass percentage stood at 56. Similarly, boys recorded 42 pass percentage out of 2,32,626 including 2,05,374 in general and 27,252 in vocational streams who had taken the exams.
Overall, the pass percentage in the first-year exams in both general and vocational streams was 49 with 4,59,242 students appearing for the exams and 2,24,012 have passed.
Among the districts, Medchal recorded the highest pass percentage of 63 followed by Mulugu with 61 pass percentage. At 61, the highest pass percentage was recorded by MPC students. The pass percentage among the BPC and Humanities streams was 55 and 50 respectively.
The results have been made available on the websites https://tsbie.cgg.gov.in, http://examresults.ts.nic.in and http://results.cgg.gov.in. Students can download the memorandum of marks with photo and signature from 5 pm on December 17 from the websites.
The Board said the marks register of all colleges would be enabled and Principals can download the same from their college login. Discrepancies, if any, found in the memoranda of marks should be referred to the Board through principal concerned on or before December 31. The applications received after the last date will not be entertained.
The Board has provided the provision for recounting and online supply of scanned copy-cum re-verification of the valued answer scripts. The last date for payment of fee towards recounting/scanned copy-cum re-verification is December 22. Students can apply through the website http://tsbie.cgg.gov.in.
