JNTU-H V-C holds surprise inspections at hostels

Emphasises importance of maintaining cleanliness and protecting environment on hostel premises

Hyderabad: After a recent protest by students regarding deplorable living conditions, JNTU-Hyderabad Vice Chancellor Prof V Balakista Reddy conducted surprise inspections at the university hostels on Saturday.

During the visit to hostels — Manjeera, Kinnera, Krishna and Gowthami — the V-C, along with registrar K Venkateshwar Rao and principal GV Narasimha Reddy, dined with students to engage directly with them and understand their issues.

Immediate instructions were issued to address the concerns raised by students. The officials emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment on the hostel premises.

In response to a student request for utilising the Gowthami hostel cellar as a parking area, swift action was taken and directions were issued to the authorities to implement the change.
