Khammam: Jubilant celebrations erupted in erstwhile Khammam district on Wednesday over Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s statement in Assembly about the State government taking up a massive recruitment drive.
TRS cadres and unemployed youth in the district burst crackers and shared sweets to celebrate the Chief Minister’s statement at the TRS district office where TRS district president T Madhusudan, SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar and others performed palabhishekam to the Chief Minister’s portrait.
Speaking to the media, Madhusudan, ZP Chairman L Kamal Raju and others said the announcement by the Chief Minister has created more confidence in the government among the unemployed youth.
The government’s decision to ensure 100 per cent jobs to locals in the job drive would fulfill the aspirations of Telangana Statehood movement. The Opposition parties should feel ashamed and stop cheap politics they were doing on job appointments, the leaders said.
TRS Lok Sabha party leader, Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao expressing pleasure at the Chief Minister’s decision to fill up 91, 142 jobs said the dream of four crore Telangana people has been fulfilled with the Chief Minister’s statement.
The MP said union Minister of State for Services and Pensions Jitendra Singh had recently announced in Parliament that there were 8. 72 lakh job vacancies in the Central government and public sector companies.
Nageswara Rao demanded that the Centre immediately fill the job vacancies in view of the welfare of the unemployed. One in every five jobs in the Central government was vacant, therefore the state BJP leaders should pressure on the Centre to fill the job vacancies.

Khammam Agriculture Market Committee (AMC) Chairperson D Lakshmiprasanna, TRS city president P Nagaraju, Rythu Bandhu Samithi convener N Venkateshwar Rao and others joined the celebrations
