Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the Jubilee Hills byelection was between 10 years of BRS progress and two years of the Congress deceit. He appealed to voters in Jubilee Hills to exercise their franchise only after comparing both the regimes.
Addressing residents of Reliance Jubilee Community in Shaikhpet division on Sunday, Rama Rao accused the Congress government of betraying every section of society and running Telangana with a bulldozer mindset. He said the Revanth Reddy government had failed on every front, from governance to social justice.
“This is the first Congress government without a single minority representative. There were six MLC opportunities, yet not one was given to a minority. Rahul Gandhi must answer this injustice,” he demanded.
The BRS working president also accused the Congress of colluding with the BJP, stating that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and BJP MPs were working in sync, trading contracts and political favours. He questioned Rahul Gandhi’s silence on the Congress’s bulldozer rule in Telangana, where houses of the poor were being demolished in the name of development.
“Rahul Gandhi speaks about Bulldozer Raj in other States, but turns blind eye to his own government in Telangana. He remained silent when the Congress government was the first to implement the controversial Waqf Act in Telangana, despite the Congress opposing it at the national level,” he said, questioning the hypocrisy.
Recalling BRS’s record, Rama Rao said the K Chandrashekhar Rao government transformed Hyderabad into a global city with uninterrupted power, peace, and communal harmony. He pointed out that under BRS, 204 Gurukul schools for minorities were established and Rs 20 lakh overseas education scholarships were launched. He urged voters to punish the Congress and vote for BRS to ensure transparency and progress.
