Kakatiya University teachers told to deliver duties with commitment

Warangal: Stating that teaching is a noble profession, Dean of the Faculty of Science of Kakatiya University (KU), Prof K David has urged the teachers to deliver their duties with a commitment to help the students not only be useful to themselves but also to the society.
He was addressing a one-day national workshop on ‘Srinivasa Ramanujan Inventions in Mathematics and Abstract Algebra’ sponsored by Telangana State Council of Science and Technology and supported by National Council for Science and Technology and organized by the Department of Mathematics of the KU here on Tuesday.

Principal of the University College, Prof B Suresh Lal advised the students to be punctual to the classes and make use of the library for enriching themselves with the latest developments in their subjects.
Advising the teachers to teach Mathematics in an easy manner, Prof SSVN Sharma explained about the Ramanujan Theory and Groups and their importance. Convenor of the seminar Dr K Somaiah said that the workshop was intended to expose the under-graduate and postgraduate students and teachers of Mathematics to Ramanujan’s contribution to the fundamental concepts of groups, subgroups and cyclic groups besides to offer an understanding of various abstract concepts and their applications.
Coordinators Dr LP Raj Kumar, Dr R Bharavi Sharma, Prof P Malla Reddy, Prof T Sumathi Uma Maheshwari, Dr M Tirumala Devi, teachers and students participated in the workshop.
