Karimnagar: Crow gets trapped as manja wraps its legs

Karimnagar: Manja, which is being used in flying kites, has become a problem for living beings. There are incidents of people as well as birds getting injured after accidentally contacting manja. In a fresh incident, a crow got trapped as two of its legs were entangled in manja. Unable to fly, the crow had swung from electric wire in front of Kalabharati near Karimnagar Bus Station.
Knowing about the incident, the Blue Cross district in-charge and social worker Thumu Narayana visited the spot and rescued the bird. He along with others climbed on the top of a bus and cut the manja with the help of a stick.
