Visakhapatnam: The Forum for Development of North Andhra has hailed the appointment of Olympic medalist Karnam Malleswari as the first Vice-Chancellor of Delhi Sports University.
Malleswari, who hails from Voosavanipeta village near Amadalavalasa in Srikakulam district, had worked her way hard to bag several international medals. She also received the Rajiv Khel Ratna, Padma Shri, Arjuna and other awards, general secretary of the forum A. Aja Sarma pointed out and hoped that she would do her best to develop the university into producing many more sportspersons in the future.
