KCR wishes peace and unity on Bakrid festival

Hyderabad: BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao extended greetings to the Muslim community on the occasion of Bakrid.
He stated that the festival of Bakrid was a sacred occasion celebrated by followers of Islam and served as a symbol of sacrifice and charity.
The BRS chief stressed that the Bakrid festival fosters peace, tolerance and brotherhood among people, transcending all social distinctions between the rich and the poor.
“On this holy day, I hope a spirit of peace and divine contemplation blossoms in the heart of every human being,” Chandrashekhar Rao said.
He wished that in Telangana, a land renowned for its ‘Ganga-Jamuna’ composite culture, the bonds of brotherhood and unity among the people would be further strengthened during the Bakrid festival.
