He lashed out at the Congress government's failure to deliver on its promises made to the people of Telangana, pointing out glaring discrepancies between rhetoric and reality.
Taking aim at Modi's rhetoric regarding Pakistan and Hindutva, the BRS president dismissed it as an attempt to evoke communal emotions for political advantage.
He pointed out that the Congress government also degraded the 100-bed hospital sanctioned for Medak to a 50-bed hospital, apart from turning the Ghanapuram tank useless though it was developed with Rs 150 crore during the BRS rule.
On Monday, accompanied by a convoy of vehicles carrying hundreds of leaders and activists, Chandrashekhar Rao interacted with the people and listened to their grievances and sorrows, reassuring them to take up their issues.
Chandrashekhar Rao also trained his guns at Modi for not acting upon the allegations against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of collecting 'RR' tax in Telangana.
“We fought for a Railway Coach Factory for Kazipet, but Prime Minister Modi diverted it to Gujarat. Similarly, he gave the sanction letter for the tribal university here after keeping it in abeyance for 10 years,” he said.
He stated that despite spending five months in power, the Chief Minister did not deliver any promises and instead, passing time by hurling choicest abuses against him and the BRS which were responsible for Telangana State formation.
