Khammam: Officials instructed to speed up works of new collectorate building

District Collector VP Gautham also inspected double bedroom houses under construction at Tekulapalli near Khammam

Khammam: District Collector VP Gautham has directed the engineering officials and contractors to speed up construction of the new collectorate building.

The Collector inspected the construction site here on Thursday. He told the officials that the progress of works was not on expected lines and it was not proper to delay the works. Additional labour has to be engaged to expedite the works and progress should be monitored every week.

Gautham also inspected double bedroom houses under construction at Tekulapalli near Khammam. Works like electricity connections, drinking water pipe connections have to be completed in the housing blocks that were nearing completion, he said.

Later, the Collector made a surprise inspection of the tahsildar and joint sub-registrar offices at Raghunathapalem mandal. He inspected the computerisation process of applications related to Prohibitory Order Book (POB).
