Khammam: A BTech graduate of Khammam has embarked on an India tour on a bicycle aiming to explore the country and to promote brotherhood.
Having completed his BTech (Computer Science) a few years ago, 24-year-old Fazil Hindustani worked in a private company in Hyderabad for three years. He said he felt constricted and confined to four walls with the job routine; he quit the job some time ago and came back to Khammam.
After days of contemplation, Fazil realised that he should give shape to his desire to explore the country. And on December 1, he started his journey, which was flagged off by New Vision School director Karthik and principal Abad Ali.
Speaking to Telangana Today, he said he has planned to reach Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on his first leg of the journey and then go to Nepal. In doing so, he would be covering every State en route on his US-made geared bicycle.
His journey is scheduled for three years during which he would be just moving across the country and would be staying outdoors. His travel gear consists of sleeping mat and camping material and a stove as he wants to prepare food since eating in hotels would be expensive.
“India is not just a map. It is a vibrant country with diverse cultures, traditions and customs. I just wanted to learn and have a firsthand experience of what India stands for. I would be interacting with people wherever I go to understand their lives” Fazil explained.
The B.Tech graduate stated that he would be visiting important religious places of all religions during his tour. The first one on the list is Bhadradri Temple. There is a lot of negativity among the people with regard to religion and he wants to change people’s perspective towards religious beliefs.
There is love and kindness among the people and such qualities have to be rekindled as most of the time they become obscure due to shortsighted beliefs, Fazil averred. He plans to post the stories of his journey on his YouTube channel, India_Wala_Vlogger, for people to appreciate them.
