Kinshuk, Suresh win titles at 224th Brilliant Trophy Chess Tournament

In the junior event, Kinshuk clinched the title in tie-break after finishing tied with Thriansh Sai for first place, both scoring 6 points from as many rounds

Hyderabad: Kinshuk Vetcha and Suresh Duvvala won the junior and open category titles, respectively, in the 224th Brilliant Trophy Chess Tournament held at Brilliant Grammar High School, Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, on Sunday.

In the junior event, Kinshuk clinched the title in tie-break after finishing tied with Thriansh Sai for first place, both scoring 6 points from as many rounds. Thriansh settled for second place, while Basava Raghavendra secured third place with 5 points. In the open category, Suresh won the event by scoring 5.5 points from 6 rounds, while Rishi Pallagani and Chidvilas Sai finished second and third, respectively, with 5 points each.
