KITSW faculty gets Best Woman Scientist Award
Dr Banavath Dhanalaxmi received the “Best Women Scientist Award” for her research contribution in the area of Image Processing from Novel Research Academy.

Warangal Urban: Dr Banavath Dhanalaxmi, an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department at the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal, (KITSW) received the “Best Women Scientist Award” for her research contribution in the area of Image Processing from Novel Research Academy.
KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said Dhanalaxmi did her PhD titled “An efficient Algorithm for Medical Images Encryption and Decryption” from Kakatiya University under the guidance of Prof T Srinivasulu, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and Principal, University College of Engineering and Technology, Kakatiya University (KU). She published more than 10 research papers in various journals and conferences. She was session chair in various international conferences,” he added.
Rajya Sabha MP Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao, who is also Secretary and Correspondent, and Treasurer P Narayana Reddy congratulated Dr Dhanalaxmi on her achievement. He said such awards will add value to the institute. Prof K Ashoka Reddy especially appreciated and said women have to come forward and contribute towards research and innovations. “Such awards will encourage young faculty and help in developing new prototype models which leads to the innovation,” he added.
Prof B Rama Devi, HoD Department of ECE, Prof G Ragotham Reddy, Dean SA, ECE department faculty members E Suresh, SP Girija, A Vijaya, Dr M Raju, Dr V Venkateshwar Reddy, PRO Dr D Prabhakara Chary and others attended the felicitation programme held at the KITS campus.
