Jagtial: All rituals in Kondagattu Hanuman temple have been suspended for 13 days. Temple will be closed for devotees from April 17 to 29.
In the wake of the Corona outbreak, the temple authorities have taken this decision on Friday. All rituals will be performed internally by the priests. It is also decided to conduct Chinna Hanuman Jayanthi within the temple in the absence of the devotees. Malavitharana (ending of Hanuman deeksha) of Hanuman devotees also will not be performed at the temple.
Temple Executive Officer Chandrashekhar, in a statement, said that in the wake of rapid spread of Covid-19, they have taken the decision. There was a possibility of the pandemic spread across the State if pilgrims gathered in large numbers at the shrine, he said and asked the devotees not to visit the temple during its closure.
