Choppadandi MLA fulfils vow after CM recovers from Covid

Jagitial: Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar, who tied mudupu (vow) at Kondagattu Hanuman temple after the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was tested positive for Covid-19, fulfilled his promise by removing mudupu on Sunday.
On April 20, MLA tied mudupu in the shrine praying to the presiding deity for speedy recovery of the Chief Minister from coronavirus, and promised to fulfill his vow by reaching the temple on foot after Chandrashekhar Rao tested negative for the virus. Accordingly, Ravishankar on Sunday reached the shrine on foot and fulfilled his vow by removing the mudupu. He also performed special pujas in the temple.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA expressed happiness over the recovery of the Chief Minister from the Covid-19. He stated that Chandrashekhar Rao was the only Chief Minister in the country to have provided rice and Rs 1,500 to the poor during the time of lockdown.
Labourers who migrated to Telangana from other States were also provided rice and money. The government also came to the rescue of farmers by setting up paddy purchasing centres in every village, he added. For the first time in the country, a door-to-door fever survey is being carried out in the State to identify corona positive patients and people suffering with Covid symptoms were being provided with corona kits to get treatment in their homes itself.
Informing that Covid recovery rate in Telangana was high, the legislator said people need not worry about the virus since the government was taking all steps to check it from spreading further. Ravishankar urged the people to impose self-lockdown and not to come out of their homes for at least 15 days.
